As soon as you’re done with the walls, look down. There, you will find another blank canvas to accessorize. Area rugs are one of the best and most flexible elements to use on a bare floor. This can add texture and colors without even trying really hard.

An entire wall can be covered with your family’s travel photos. If you don’t have those, then snap some great photos while your family is doing something spontaneous.
