Bedroom Fit for a King – Do You Want One?

Tommy Bahama Home Bedroom Candaleria Poster Bed 6_6 King 552-174C: Poster beds are effortlessly regal.

How many times have you seen regal bedrooms in your entire life? Those rooms did catch your attention surely because they were majestic rather than tacky. After all, any regal bedroom, when done incorrectly would look like the owner tried a little too hard.

Regal bedrooms are not easy to pull off. No fret, though, you can still do it right. Here are some inspirations that can jumpstart your regal bedroom project –

The Italian Touch

What could be more luxurious than cream textile upholstery complete with gold fittings? You can create the classic Italian bedroom by having a bed that’s created by artisans. No matter if that’s a double bed or a sprawling king sized bed, this ensemble must always include a pouf, chair, and a table.

The two dressers must also be present as are the headboard, and pouf upholstery.

Purple is a lovely color to add in an Italian boudoir. Mix it with cream and gold and you’ve effortlessly created a majestic bedroom.

Glittering Gold

Another color that is elegant is gold especially when you use it on ornate furniture pieces.

Just imagine your majestic bedroom filled with opulent furnishings – golden or with a tinge of this yellow shade.

Be sure to combine the artistic framework of the bedframe with the thick tapestries. To create a breathtaking and harmonious ensemble, be sure to contrast the window treatments with the gold furniture.

If you have golden, metallic furniture, then opt for dark draperies (e.g. black tapestries).

Captivating Cream

A palace-inspired bedroom would do well to consider cream curtains. Instead of the usual default white curtains, why not experiment with the soft textures of cream curtains?

This is a minimalist way to frame the bed which is, after all, the star of the boudoir. Install these lovely curtains against mauve walls to achieve a regal atmosphere.

Grecian Charm

The Greeks are not just great philosophers, they are also amazing interior designers. The small Grecian touches that you add in a bedroom can make a huge difference.

But what are these features?

Greek homes feature whitewashed walls combined with blue-colored windows. You can do this in your Grecian bedroom, too. Complete the look by adding area rugs with striped patterns and flowers.

As for the furnishings, go for wooden furniture like tripod stools and tables. Add some glazed potteries in one corner.

A touch of gold will make a huge difference. Featured accent piece is the Uttermost Accessories Serrano Mirrored Wall Art 04065.

Go Baroque

Baroque style is meant to emphasize the pompousness of style. Literally translated from Italian, it actually means pretentiousness.

Add luxurious linens such as velvet, silk, and brocade. Finish with tapestries, rich ceilings, and stucco walls. You can also add Baroque wall paintings, sculptures, and statues.

Baroque bedroom, more specifically, features carved furniture. The ceiling must be decorated with stucco. There must also be heavy curtains and none of the sheer types.

The color palette for the Baroque boudoir must be dominantly burgundy, beige, red, bold, and shades of brown.

Your Dream Bedroom

Many Hollywood stars have the most beautiful homes because most of them grew up visualizing these dream habitats. It would be pointless to put boundaries on your style. After all, this is your regal bedroom so go all out without being trying hard.

Go for the usually majestic shades of purple. Use this color on your bed headboard, chairs, vase, curtains, table top, lamp, even the flowers.

Majestic White

Could white be ideal as a color palette for the bedroom?

Why not? The master bedroom could be regal with white bed linens arranged with a white bedroom, bedside tables, white walls, white window treatments, and white flooring.

Shabby chic as others would call it or if it is for a feminine dweller. It can also be Scandinavian or Nordic if used in a family bedroom.
