Slim compact cupboards made for storing shoes

Cupboard Small
Shoe cupboard - open
If you're tired of tripping over your shoes when you step groggily into your closet in the mornings, a new kind of furniture may provide welcome relief.

In a move to stop shoe clutter, Hooker Furniture has just introduced a new breed of furniture: a shoe cupboard. These slim and compact cupboards will fit in most any room in the house, and with seven shelves, should easily store 20 or more pairs of shoes.

The shoe cupboards have caught the attention of the media, with articles about them appearing in publications including Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Charlotte Observer, international business publication Furniture/Today and on the Internet on the Topix blog.

The shoe cabinets are offered in two finishes, the antique cherry Waverly Place and a heavily distressed painted finish in a honeycomb pattern. On the inside of the door is a full-length mirror. The cupboard is about 30 inches wide, but it's only about one foot deep, so it's shallow enough to fit into an unused corner of the bedroom, bathroom or even a hall.

The Hooker Furniture shoe cabinets should be available in retail stores in late summer or early fall.
