Savvy World of Fashion Inspires Boutique Approach to Furniture Shopping

High Point, NC (April 7, 2008) – Drexel Heritage streamlines its Mixers custom program and adds a dozen new designs to this innovative offering at the current High Point Market. Debuted last October, these stylish furnishings encourage consumers to mix-and-match for a uniquely personal look.

The concept behind Mixers is that buying home furnishings is a lot like buying clothes. Just as you might shop in several fashion boutiques for your wardrobe, you may now shop in the Mixers coordinated furniture “boutiques” for your home.

“The response to Mixers has been great,” says Lenwood Rich, Drexel Heritage President. “By selecting from the boutiques, consumers can bring their flair for fashion into the homes with furniture ensembles that dramatically express their style.”

The over 35 Mixers designs can be customized with approximately 26 different paint finishes, alternate hardware, and painted glass tops, available on select pieces. A special silver finish is also offered on several items. These custom options increase the number of different looks possible within the Bamboo and Urban/Contemporary style categories.
“We chose these styles very carefully,” continues Rich. “They were selected for their fashion-forward look, ability to mix-and-match, and suitability for customization.”

Bamboo Boutique
Bamboo accents give these classically-inspired designs an exotic tropical punch. They’re dazzling when dressed in our designer’s choice Tortoise Shell finish. Cane, white marble, leather, antique brass, metal and nickel are the “jewelry” touches that land these living, dining and bedroom pieces at the top of the fashion parade. Door chest, double dresser, matching mirror, dining table and chair have been added this market to this breezy tropical boutique.

Urban Contemporary
Clean, crisp lines provide a touch of understated elegance to this occasional, dining and bedroom ensemble. When dressed in an espresso finish, the designs exude a chic, cosmopolitan feel. For a lighter look, there are Greige, Beige, and Water hues. If a whimsical mood strikes, you might opt for zany striping available on two commodes. Or if it is cutting edge you yearn for, there’s a dazzling Pomegranate that’s especially bold. Seven new designs were added this market: dresser, platform bed, mirror, rectangular dining table, two dining chairs, and a contemporary end table.
