DREXEL HERITAGE SPOTLIGHTS NEW DESIGNS
IN BELLE MAISON COLLECTION

High Point, NC (April 7, 2008)—In response to overwhelming requests, Drexel Heritage adds a dozen new designs to its very popular Belle Maison collection at the current High Point Market. First debuted in the fall of 2005, the group embraces a full complement of antique-inspired forms, revitalized and reinterpreted for today’s living.

“The beauty of this collection is its flexibility,” says Lenwood Rich, Drexel Heritage President. “While the designs take their inspiration from antiques, we offer multiple finish treatments, several hardware choices, and other custom options that allow for a fresh, personal interpretation.”

Here are a few highlights from the April 2008 introductions:

Sleigh Bed – Comfort and style reach the pinnacle of perfection in this amazing sleigh bed. The headboard is crowned with acanthus leaf carvings, and similar leaf carvings adorn the feet. Side rails rap around, taking the place of a footboard.

Round Dining Table – This table thinks it’s the do-all-and-end-all of dining tables…and rightly so. It’s a masterpiece of craftsmanship with pie-shaped veneer patterns surrounded by an edge of scalloped veneers—all fitted entirely by hand. Graceful black C-scroll legs, highlighted with rich gold striping, complement the top’s Cerise antique cherry finish.

Metal Lamp Table – Taking its cue from existing metal tables in the Belle Maison collection, this lamp table performs with equal aplomb. Metal detailing is typical of the French aesthetic, which values the material and the delicacy and grace with which it is worked.

Metal Étagère – The back of this metal étagère was purposely left open to create a lighter look and to let the objets d’art displayed take center stage. Shelves are glass inset within a wooden frame.

Corner Curio – It isn’t often you find a corner curio with such splendid proportions and styling. Wooden mullions create a window pane effect, though which friendly collections can be viewed. Even more storage is secreted behind lower doors.
