Elk Grove is a rapidly growing city located at the south part of Sacramento County and was established in the 1850’s as a stage stop. The name of the city originated from a man named James Hall. One possibility is that the area had so many elk that it looked like an elk grove. The school district is one of the fastest growing schools in the nation. With easy access to both Interstate 5 and Highway 99 residents are able to commute to and from home with ease.
